Salvation only through Christ

From the dawn of history man has been searching to be in tune with his maker , consciously or unconsciously. Even in the universities in the so called Department of Philosophies where people make argument about the existence of God they end up proving the atheists wrong. This emanates from the fact that they did not invent the word God. It is inert in man to seek for his maker since man did not come here by chance.It is man's search for his maker that has led him into different religions.Then God in his infinite mercies sent his son Jesus Christ to save the world from sin. The problem of the human race from the dawn of his has been the sin problem.So the culmination of God's mercy for man is giving of his son Jesus Christ to save the world from their sins. The reader should refer to the gospel of John chapter 3 verse 16, here it states 'For God so loved the world that he gave his own begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life'. So what is central in human life is to repent of one's sins and believe in the son of God. Life is the first thing in in this world. This is why you will first of all secure you soul and life in Christ so that you will be safe from the machinations of the devil, the enemy of mankind. Just at a given point in time after the deluge mankind converged again at Shinar (Babylon) to rebel against God. We that what caused the deluge (Noah's flood) is the sin of man.Refer to Genesis chapter 6 and you will see God's judgement on the first world because of corruption(sin). Immediately after that flood mankind converged at Shinar to rebel against God again. They have failed to learn any lesson from the first judgement. There at Shinar they wanted to build a tower to reach to heaven. This was why the LORD came down and brought confusion in their language. That was the beginning of the many languages we have today.Don't this issue of language teach you how wonderful God is. So if you have not received Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour, you should kneel down now and pray this prayer to receive Christ into your heart: Lord Jesus, come into my heart to wash away my sins, for I repent of my sins today.Holy Father I pray in Jesus name, amen. After praying believe that Jesus has entered your heart and it will be done for you, see Revelation 3 verse 20.

United Nations Declaration of Rights of Man

On December 10 1948 there was the United Nations Declaration of the Fundamental Human Rights. This is known as the United Nations Declaration of the Universal Human Rights clearly spelt out in its Article 30. There is the right to life.This means that no one has right to take human life through extra judicial killing of any sort whatsoever. Then there is the right to private life or right to privacy. This means that people,s privacy will not be intruded upon or violated. Then the right to freedom of conscience or religion. No one will be forced to follow any religion or creed. Adherents of various religions should seek for members through persuasion and not through force of arms. You can take a horse to the water but you cannot force it to drink. This shows the futility of trying to force some body to believe in what you believe through the use of arms.Then the right to freedom of association. Individuals are free to form associations or groups and to join any group or party they like. There is also the right to own property. Every person has the right to acquire legally and maintain it as his own. There is the right to family life. People have right to private and public life. Then the right to education. Every child has the right to be educated.This means that parents are under obligation to train their children in schools. Failure in this aspect on the part of the parents may even lead to litigation. Such parents may be arraigned to answer for such lapses. Then the right to vote and be voted for.Every individual has the right to seek elective offices up to becoming the president of his country. There is the right to freedom of movement.People have the right to move about freely.But this however, does not include loitering.Of course there is a law against loitering and a loiterer can be prosecuted when spotted. Writing a good composition or essay demands certain skills.You will start with the gathering of materials.How does one collect materials for essay writing? It is through prolific reading.A student will be reading magazines , newspapers, good novels,pamphlets and a host of other materials to be well equipped to write good compositions.

The materials so gathered must be well arranged when it comes to actual writing business.It must be noted that essay writing forms an important part of any English Language examination.Both in West African Senior School Certificate Examination and London G C E and any other public examination a pass in essay writing determines the good performance in English Language paper.Students will therefore take seriously their preparations for essay writing.I have said that they will start by gathering materials through many reading experiences and their materials must be properly arranged to meet the demands of the question asked.

For instance, he or she must give their essay an introduction.This introduces the main points and creates a focus for the essay. It leads the reader into the main body of the composition.Then the body of the essay which must be written in paragraphs with each paragraph dealing with a particular point.The paragraphs must be properly developed and linked with such words as nevertheless, although, moreover,notwithstanding etc.Finally there must be a conclusion which summarizes the main points of the composition.

Computer Studies

Computer is turning the world into a global village and with time not to be computer literate will become a big problem. This understanding underscores the importance of computer education. In Nigeria the Anambra State Government is pursuing this seriously with the provision of computers to many secondary schools to boost computer literacy among the students. Technological development is incomplete without the knowledge of computer.

What is computer? A computer is a mechanical device that accepts data as input, processes same and brings it out as information. In other words when raw data is processed it becomes information. The computer is made up of different component parts such as the monitor, the key board, the mouse, the CPU that is Central Processing Unit. The Philosophy and Goals of Education in Nigeria

The overall philosophy of Nigeria is to live in unity and harmony as one indivisible, indissoluble, democratic and sovereign nation founded on the principles of freedom, equality and justice. Next, to promote inter-African solidarity and world peace through understanding.

The five main national goalsof Nigeria which have been endorsed as the necessary foundation for the national policy on education are the building of : ( a ) a free and democratic society. (b ) a just and egalitarian society, ( c ) a united, strong and self-reliant nation, ( d ) a great and dynamic economy, and ( e ) a land full of bright opportunities for all citizens.


The National educational goals deriving from Nigeria philosophy of education are : (1) the inculcation of national consciousness and national unity.To be continued.

The Law of Contract

A contract is a legal document between two persons or corporations. Before entering into any contract the parties concerned must study carefully the provisions of the contract, and convince themselves of their ability to fulfil the stated conditions.Each of the contracting parties must be ready to fulfil the terms spelt out in the legal document. For instance if mr A has a work to be executed and B has entered into contract with A to execute that project, for example thebuilding of a two bed room flat.The terms of thecontract here runs like this: The owner of the house must provide the materials like cement, sand , gravel,zinc and wood. There must also be a contractual agreement on the price or cost of labour for building the house.

Mr A has to name his terms and negotiate fully and exhaustively with Mr B to reach an agreement on the price to be paid to Mr B who is now the contractor handling the buildingproject for Mr A . Once they sign the contract appending their signatures to the contract paper, it becomes binding on each party to fulfil his own part of the contract.Failure of any of the parties will attract the ire of the other and may trigger off unpleasant legal action by the aggrieved party.

English: Grammatical Function of Adverb Phrases

English grammar is made up of eight parts of speech. In this lecture I shall discuss the grammatical functions of adverb phrases. First , what is an adverb? An adverb is a part of speech that modifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb.For instance hwen we say "The man walks very slowly" there is a modifier here. The modifiwer is 'very' which modifies another adverb in the sentence which is 'slowly'.

Now to look at the adverb phrases .The following sentences show example of adverb phrases. 1.They went home after lunch. 2.Obi stayed until dismissal. 3.They studied until afternoon. In sentencew number 1 above the adverb phrase is 'after lunch'. Here the adverb phrase modifies the verb 'went'. In number 2,we identify the adverb phrase as being'until dismissal'.The next point is to identify the grammatical function of the adverb phrase.The grammatical function here is that it modifies the verb 'stayed'. The sentence also contains an adverb phrase thus: 'until afternoon'. The next point is to identify the grammatical function of the adverb phrase.The function is that it modifies the verb 'studied'.
